Why did you choose The University of Manchester?

The University of Manchester has excellent teaching and is situated in a fast growing and increasingly bright city. The teaching labs within the School of Chemistry have been recently refurbished and as a result we are able to work hands-on with state-of-the-art equipment.

What is the best thing about The University of Manchester?

The availability of resources within the University is fantastic, there’s always space for study no matter what time of the day! The Learning Commons also invested in a sleep pod this year so that students can recharge between lectures.

Are you involved in any clubs or societies, and if so what are they?

I am involved with MUMS (Manchester University Music Society) and have been part of the strings and symphony orchestras and last year went on tour to Prague and the Czech Republic

What is student life in Manchester like?

There is so much to do in Manchester and something for everyone no matter what your hobbies and interests. There is a great community in Fallowfield which is very much a student village, whilst we have a really good students union and lots of nightclubs in the city centre.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of applying to The University of Manchester?

Manchester is a lovely city and the University is has a high level of teaching. It doesn’t rain as much as some people would like to tell you and I would definitely recommend coming to an Open Day!
