Dr Ian Watt - personal details
My undergraduate studies were at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 1966. I then took an idealistic year out with VSO, teaching chemistry at Mindanao State University in the Philippines. From there, I moved to the USA to study and research for a Ph.D. with Professor W.L. Mock at Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh. In 1972, I returned to the UK to postdoctoral research with Professor Willie Parker at the University of Stirling. I was appointed to a lectureship in this department in 1976 . Presently, I am presently a senior lecturer with the Organic and Biological Chemistry Group.
