What is ChemPostdocSoc?

ChemPostdocSoc is short for the Chemistry Postdoctoral Research Society. The Society represents over 130 engineering and physical sciences (EPS) researchers, spread across the School of Chemistry, the Manchester Institute of Biotechnology, Dalton Cumbria and the Photon Science Institute.

The Society was formed with the aim of assisting and enabling early-career researchers in career progression in chemistry, as well as providing guidance for new researchers in the School and forging new links between postdoctoral researchers that could become the basis for fruitful future collaborations.

One of our primary purposes is to organise various events designed to support the academic development of chemistry postdocs. We also maintain up-to-date information for postdocs at all stages of their Manchester career, with essential information for new starters, and advice for securing funding for the next stage of your career.

For more information feel free to contact one of the members of the committee or attend one of our events.
