Dr Louise Natrajan's Group: New publication
Dr Louise Natrajan and her group along with collaborators from the Institute of Nuclear Waste disposal, Karlsruhe, Germany and Andrew Kerridge at Lancaster University have published an article in Chemical Communications Emerging investigator issue 'Neptunyl(VI) Centred Visible LMCT Emission Directly Observable in the Presence of Uranyl(VI)'.
The article describes the nature and origin of the visible emission from neptunyl(VI) complexes for the first time and how spectral editing can be employed to identify neptunium over uranium in solutions containing a mixture of these two ions.
