Synthesis and Spectroscopy Days - 18 to 21 June 2018

Spectroscopy Tours covering NMR, Mass Spec, XRD and with special emphasis on IR.  These have run for many years but feedback has led us to incorporate a hands-on synthesis and chromatography task as a major part of the programme.  All students will run their own IR spectra and will be shown the other spectroscopies in small groups.  This activity is suitable for large school parties of Year 11-13 students.

UG Open Days – 23 and 24 June, 30 September and 14 October 2017

The best way to get a feel for what The University of Manchester is all about is to come and visit us on one of our open days.  Open days give you the chance to find out more about the type of academic and social life you can expect at The University of Manchester – as well as an opportunity to explore the University and the city for yourself.

Our next open days will be held on:

  • Saturday 30 September 2017
  • Saturday 14 October 2017

At an open day you will be able to learn about subjects that you are interested in, meet current undergraduate students and staff, tour our campus and facilities, and gather information on all aspects of the University, allowing you to get a real feel for the place.  School of Chemistry Open Day Enquiries : ug.chemistry@manchester.ac.uk
