School of Chemistry blog launches
We're pleased to announce the launch of the School of Chemistry blog.
The blog is intended to be a place where you can read about all aspects of Chemistry at the University of Manchester: news and events, articles by and about current and former students, news about exciting research within the school - and much more.
- To begin with, we've got an article by Royal Society of Chemistry Schools Education Award 2017 Winner Kristy Turner, someone described by the Telegraph as "bridging the chasm between classroom and lecture room." In her piece, Kristy highlights the main differences between studying Chemistry at school and university.
- We've also got a piece from 2nd year MChem student Beth, who is a PASS (Peer-assisted Study Sessions) leader for 1st year students (you can read more about PASS here). Beth shares her knowledge and experience with a number of tips which will allow students to get the best from their lab sessions.
- And finally as part of our launch, we've got a piece by Ellen Swann, a Music graduate who landed the position of Student Experience and Employability Graduate Intern through Manchester Graduate Talent. Ellen looks after the blog (amongst other things!), so get in touch with her if you need any more information - or even fancy writing something yourself.
To read all these articles, and more, head on over to the blog now.
