Chemistry Research Themes
Research in the School reflects the interdisciplinary nature of modern chemistry research. Our research is organised into nine Research Themes which cover our contribution to grand challenges in Chemistry, areas that we are world leading in, and our extensive underpinning research capbilities.

- 2012 RSC Harrison-Meldola Prize Congratulations to Dr. Mike Ingleson on being awarded the 2012 RSC Harrison-Meldola Prize for his innovative work in borocation chemistry, particularly the borylation of arenes.
- Fellow of the Learned Society of WalesProfessor Douglas Kell has been elected as a Fellow of the Learned Society of Wales.

Grants and Awards
The School of Chemistry has been awarded extensive funding from research councils and currently holds more than £50 million of research grants.
