The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition is an annual display of the most exciting cutting-edge science and technology in the UK.

Professor Sabine Flitsch's will be presenting the exhibit Sweet complexity that demonstrates how the study of carbohydrates (such as sucrose, starch, pectin, alginate and cellulose) can help improve many aspects of our lives from producing renewable energy and materials to generating new medicines.

The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition is a free event will run from 2-7 July 2013 at 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG.
