Sarah says:

School of Chemistry

“Life as a single, working mother with two school age children comes packed with difficulties - not least in finding the right work-life balance. The School of Chemistry has been enormously supportive of my and my childrens needs and has enabled me to find a work-life balance that works for everybody”

Sarah's Research:

Sarah works in the Centre for Radiochemistry Research. The focus of her group is to understand and control the behaviour of the actinide elements in aqueous solution. This work has far reaching applications from geological waste disposal and environmental clean up to the development of new reactor fuels.
